Eleanor Pentland

Young People Wellbeing coach

My Practice

Modern life is tough for young people, and many haven’t yet acquired the psychological skills needed to cope with the emotional storm of life and the ability to bounce back from the inevitable ups and downs. Therefore, I am providing Wellbeing Coaching sessions in a safe, friendly and trusting environment for young people who are either struggling with mental health or are simply wanting someone to talk to, as they may be facing general life difficulties.

I am passionate about helping young people explore their emotions, understand their behaviours and develop coping mechanisms to improve their wellbeing. Creating a strong mental foundation is important in development and can be done successfully with the correct support. I want to enable young people to recognise their strengths, skills and values to enable them to be the happiest, healthiest version of themselves.

Sessions will look different depending on needs; be that practicing wellbeing skills and strategies, leaving the floor open for discussion on a young person’s current emotional position or working together to develop life skills.

I also offer bereavement support sessions for young people and children. Together we will look at ways to actualise the loss, talk abut the person who died, discuss tools to cope with the grief and explore the importance of self-care techniques.

About me

After graduating from University in 2018, I spent time travelling before moving to London. Although I’ve lived in Guernsey for most my life, I’ve spent the last few years living between London and Guernsey for work and studying purposes. I’m a very active, sociable and friendly individual. If I’m not working or studying I’ll be walking, in the gym, cooking with friends or generally enjoying my time with those close to me. I enjoy creating meaningful connections with others and believe there is nothing better than having someone to talk through all your life worries with, no matter how big or small.

A safe space for young people to talk…

“So they don’t have to pretend to be someone they’re not.”

What I offer

I work with individuals between the ages of 11 and 18 either face to face or via zoom, dependent on individuals’ preferences.

A free 20-minute consultation is available, with sessions being 45 minutes thereafter.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch and we can discuss whether this would be the right fit for you.
