Victoria Gregg
My Practice
I am an experienced counsellor with a medical background in clinical psychology as well as
nursing. I enjoy working children, teenagers and adults and value having a holistic
approach using evidence-based methods. I tailor my practice to each person, using an
integrative approach informed by cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), and using Gestalt and
DBT techniques, plus various creative methods. I use a person-centred collaborative
approach and acknowledging that my clients are the experts on their lives. I am comfortable
working with people of all backgrounds, including those who are neurodiverse.
I offer both face-to-face and online counselling to those facing all sorts of issues including
anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, bereavement, relationship struggles, emotional
dysregulation and managing mental health challenges such as OCD and phobias. I can
help with parenting concerns and can coach young people navigating their teenage years
or a diagnosis of ADHD or autism. I am also specifically trained to provide emotional care to
those facing the tragedy of baby loss, a bereavement through suicide and life-changing
medical diagnoses. I can provide counsellor education and have been a moderator for level
2 and 3 CBCAB counselling courses.
About Victoria
I’m someone who finds joy in simple, meaningful things—time with family, being outdoors in nature, and connecting with children and animals. I enjoy travel and exploring new places and loved my years spent volunteering on a hospital ship in Africa. I have a passion for learning and am genuinely interested in people, loving the diversity of the world we now live in. I care deeply about helping others work through the challenges that cause distress, recognising that it’s rarely a straightforward journey. I believe in the power of self-awareness and supportive relationships and I’m someone who genuinely cares about others.
What to expect
I offer a warm, caring and confidential counselling service for young people and adults. Whether you are struggling today, wanting to heal from past hurts, or needing to problem solve for the future, I will partner with you to take you to a better place. I can help you recognise underlying problems, process life difficulties, recognise your strengths, challenge unhelpful thoughts or work alongside you, teaching coping skills to help you live life in a more positive way. Alternatively, my counselling room can be a safe, reflective space to share things that you may find difficult to discuss with others.
