Helen Macleod
My Practice
I am a calm and empathic person who likes to work alongside you, at a pace that suits you.
I believe that a good therapeutic relationship is key to you feeling safe and able to share
in a comfortable environment. I work with you to gain self-awareness and build resilience
whilst learning skills and coping mechanisms to enable you to continue managing your own
mental and emotional health after therapy has finished. One of the main beliefs I have within
my practice is that you (the client) are the expert on you – I am here to help you
understand and uncover the issues that have brought you to therapy, then help you process
them in order to live your best life.
I mainly use CBT but will use other therapeutic methods, e.g. motivational interviewing and
brief solution focused therapy, when needed.
